On-Line Payment Solution
The Need
The Client, an insurance company, wanted to provide a means for customers to make payments on their account via an on-line web page. The goal was to make the payment process simple for users and still enable the Client to collect the information it needed to apply payments to the correct accounts. It was also a requirement to allow users to make payments on various policy types, with each type following specific business rules.
The Solution
Skipjack designed and created a solution that allowed users to select specific policy types, which in turn directed the user to enter the necessary information for the given policy type. The Client was able to collect the data it needed to process payments and apply updated information to the correct accounts. As an added benefit, the Client was able to track how many of its customers used the web order form and then shaped some of its other services based on this information.
The Results
The Client was able to increase cash-flow by providing a convenient, web based, on-line payment solution which sped up customer payments. As well, the Client could target their on-line customers with targeted, marketing material offering new web based services.
